saving an access database

There may be an obvious answer to this, but clarification would be
appreciated.

If you have received an access database mdb file by email which contains
a set of tables, queries, etc., how is the best way to may a duplicate
copy of this file/database? I have tried looking in the file "save as"
area, but while it seems possible to save specific tables of queries, it
does not seem possible for the entire database?

Just make a copy of the .MDB file while it's not open.

If the file is not open, how would I identify the .mdb file to make a
copy of it. Also, where is the copy command, how exactly is a copy
done?

Well, you said you got the .MDB file via email as an attachment.

I'm assuming that you're running Windows since we're talking about an
Access database.

Save the attachment (however you do that with your specific email
client) to your hard drive. Don't open the file with Access. Find the
..MDB file you just saved with Windows Explorer. Right click on it, and
select 'Copy'. Now go to the empty space in the area where the files
are listed, right click, and select 'Paste'.
