How to detect useless forms?

Hi.

i have hundreds of queries and forms. I know there are a lot of forms
and also queries that are not in use and could be deleted, but problem
is how i know which are not in use? it is very hard job to find it out
one by one, so is there any better ways?

You could have some code in a form's On Open event that writes the form's
name to a table so as to detect which forms *are* used over time. Not sure
about queries ...

I have a Mickey mouse database which basically lists all the objects in a
database, where they are used etc.
So for example, if I have a subform "SubFrm1" it will tell me it is used in
main form "Form1", the recordsource is Query1 and that it has a combobox in
it whose source is an SQL " SQL1000".

It does not however examine the code to see if there are any tables or
queries opened there (MyDb.OpenRecordset)

This combined with Keith's suggestion may help.

Are you going to give us a copy ? ;-)

Will send it directly to you.

Make sure you run it on a COPY of your database. I have never known any
problems, but its frightening to watch

Why not just share the code with all of us? It sounds like some
interesting code.

Sorry, Can't do that.
It's a database with tables, queries, forms and code. More than happy to let
anyone have a copy (within reason) but I need to know email addresses to
send it.

Suspect yours, Keith is not quite genuine
