encrypt database

Hi,
I tied to encrypt my database for outside user import tables from my
database using Access. After I encrypt the database, I import the encrypt
tables found they are still readable. What did I do wrong?

Encrypted database doese not effected. Please help.

Encrypting the database keeps it from being readable if opened in a text
editor, such as notepad, but will have no affect if Access opens it. Access
will decrypt as needed. To keep others from accessing your data, you will
need to password protect the file or set up user level security.
