A Report Question

P: n/a
OK...here we go again...

Here is what my report looks like...it is sorted by "code"
Code N

Date Job Number Amount
01/01/04 ABC123 $100.00
01/02/04 DEF456 $300.00
01/03/04 GHI789 $200.00

Code I
Date Job Number Amount
01/01/04 ABC123 $500.00
01/02/04 DEF456 $200.00
01/03/04 GHI789 $400.00

Code H
Date Job Number Amount
01/01/04 ABC123 $500.00
01/02/04 DEF456 $200.00
01/03/04 GHI789 $400.00
It sorts by code because in the wizzard I asked it to, but i would
rather it look like this:
Date I H N
01/01/04 500.00 500.00 100.00
01/02/04 200.00 200.00 300.00
01/03/04 400.00 400.00 200.00

Is there a way to do this? or do I need to keep it the way I have it?

As usual, any help will be appreciated!

I believe what you're looking for would be a Pivot Table. I haven't done
this, but if you look up Pivot in the help you should find something on
Pivot queries and reports.

Hi Gale,

Wayne advised using a Pivot Table, but I suspect he meant a CrossTab
query. (A CrossTab query in Access is roughly equivalent to a Pivot
Table report in Excel.)

If you select new query, you can use a CrossTab Query Wizard to get the
structure you want, and then run a report based on the CrossTab Query.
