Linking multiple fields

This is probably a really easy thing but I'm being stupid today. I need to
be able to incorporate 5 fields;

Field1 = Number
Field2 = Number
Field3 = Text
Field4 = Text
Field5 = Date/Time

into one barcode field. I want to embed the fields into a barcode and have
it to be able to be scanned and pull that info out and place it into the
respective fields in the database.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

make friends with INSTR(), LEFT(),MID(),RIGHT() functions. If the
barcodes are always consistent, or has internal delimiters, like a
comma, this is easy. Otherwise, it can be a real pain.
