Report Length

P: n/a

I would like to know how to make a report longer than the default 2 1/2
pages. Can this be done with sub reports? I would like to be able to
make a 15 page report previewable. Thank you for all of your help.

There is no page limit on Access Reports. Perhaps you are referring to the
maximum length for a page in design view, 22"? If you will clarify, perhaps
someone can offer a useful suggestion.

I am trying to have multiple pages within one report. I understand 22"
is the maximum length for one page, but how do I have multiple pages?
Thank you for your help.

Hi Brenda,

Any report that retrieves more than a page worth of data will continue
for the required number of pages.

If you're looking at the report preview screen, are you aware that you
DON'T use the scrollbars to continue to the next page (like you would in
Excel for example)?

Instead down the bottom left of the screen (in Access 97 but probably
all versions) is a 'Page' navigator. This lets you go to the First,
Previous, Next, or Last page in the report.

If you have more fields than you can fit onto a single page try setting
the report width to twice the width of your paper. You can then put one
set of fields on the left and a second set on the right. When the report
is sent to the printer the right hand part of the "page" will print on a
separate sheet.
