Disable Hot Keys?

Okay, here's a question I should have posted a very very long time ago.
I'd like to prevent the user from being able to bypass certain error
handling and updating functions that are programmed into the "Save"
command button. Some of my apps are still running in A97, but most are
now running in A2K or subsequent versions.

Is it possible to disable the use of hotkey combinations such as
"Ctrl+S" in an Access application? If so, how? And does the answer vary
depending on the version?

Is this an issue that can only be addressed in the OS?

You put your code in the wrong event. Move most of it to the
Form_BeforeUpdate event procedure. The Save command button just runs
RunCommand acCmdSaveRecord
That way, your special Save code executes regardless of how people try
to save a record.

Look at using the Autokeys macro for universal disabling.

Create a new Macro
Display the Macro Name column
In the Macro Name column type ^S
In the Action column Select Beep
Save the Macro and call it AutoKeys

That's it, Ctrl-S is now disabled in the database
