disconnect different frontends from backend

Hello,

In our organization we have 4 different access applications (all owned
by different people) which use the same backend (owned by me). When
the backend gets corrupt I have to disconnect everybody in order to be
able to repair it. In my frontend application I use the timer event to
disconnect all users from the backend. But as I have no permissions on
the other frontends I cannot use that code there too. So, is there any
way I can disconnect everybody from the backend?

thx!

Other than getting a network admin to boot them from the file I don't know
of any way to do it.
