VBA code won't step

P: n/a
Hi there everyone,

I am trying to run some code on a database, when I try and step
through the code it runs the whole program without stopping. Setting
breakpoints has no effect.
Usually if you try to step through the code by pressing f8 the first
line of the code it highlights the line in yellow. To step to the
next line you press f8 again and so on.

In this database when you hit f8 at the top of the code window in the
blue strip, the database name is updated to say databaseName
[running]. Once the code finishes running the database name goes back
to normal.
Does anyone know what the problem is. I have checked the references
already and haven't found anything to be wrong. I don't see anything
in options that would cause this behaviour either.

ps. Thanks heaps in advance.
