Copy date (date/time) to memo field

Hello, help please.
I have a little macro that copies the date from a date/time field to a
memo field, BUT instead of going to the memo field it finds the first
date/time field and tries to copy there.
My first thought is to change the date to text but how?

Thanks!!!

Do you have to use a macro?

Perhaps provide some more information. Such as...is the copy done from
a form? What is the name of the memo field? Is the date the system date?

Let's say your memo field on a form is called Notes. You want insert
the date into it.
Me.Notes = Date

Let's say the notes field has data on it. You want to insert the date
as the first line and then the notes underneath.
Me.Notes = Format(Date,"mm/dd/yyyy") & vbNewLine & Me.Notes
