access front end - changing dsn's that point to sql

frustrated...
dont' know where to start...

i have an access front end that connects to a sql db thru a dsn.
i want to make a test environment, so i made a new dsn that points to
a dev db on the same server that i restored.
i then went and relinked all tables successfully.
i thought that was all i had to do, but i did find that the sql pass
thru queries were still pointing to the wrong dsn, so i fixed those.

Questions:
1. i have run profiler and it appears i am not using the old dsn
anymore. but not 100% positive, is there anything i missed?
2. i have this code "DoCmd.TransferText acImportFixed, "parse1",
"Import", "c:\Import\import.txt", False" it works on the production
copy but doesn't work on my test copy. i don't know why. i've
checked everything i can think of. on the parse1 text above, does
that have to be on my cpu somewhere?
3. any other ideas that i can't think of, thx for your help...
