Jet 4 errors

P: n/a
Chaps,
I'm getting errors courtesy of Jet 4: Access and VS are affected.
I can post all the error code from event viewer if needs be. Is this a
common one though? Quick answer maybe? I can't believe it's just me,
my comp is fairly 'clean'.
Cheers

Have you installed the newest service packs for Jet4 and MDAC?

I'm using XP SP2: it seems I can't install either of those patches
now. They both fail on install.

Yes, they probably won't install on XP SP2. SP2 updated some of the Jet
components above what Jet 4 SP8 did, but there have been reports of some
problems if SP8 wasn't installed first. So far, the only work around is to
uninstall SP2, install the patches, and reinstall SP2. I've heard (haven't
tried it myself) that the uninstall of SP2 make take quite awhile.
Hopefully, MS will be coming out with updates to these patches, but I
haven't heard anything.

What sort of errors are you receiving?
