going beyond blanket upper case conversion

Is there a function that will take a name from a table and convert it to
title case? ie the first character of the name in upper and the rest lower.

The strings in the table have been input in either lowercase or uppercase
and some as titlecase.

regards in advance

[FieldName] = StrConv([FieldName])

This may have unintended results.
Names like McDonald will become Mcdonald, O'Hare will become O'hare,
van den Steen will become Van Den Steen, and IBM becomes Ibm.

You can create a table of exceptions and compare the changed field
results with the exceptions table to decide which result to retain.

There is an imperfect method use:

CStr("BAILEY", vbProperCase) yields "Bailey"

What it doesn't do is properly format O'REILLY to O'Reilly. What you'll
get is O'reilly. Similary, MACDONALD will become Macdonald.
