Acc2003 - acDialog form freezing

P: n/a
I have a form I am opening in Dialog mode, but noticed if I click on the
title bar, the form and entire application freezes, with ctl-alt-del the
only way out. I've tried to debug by putting stops on all events for the
form, but nothing appears to fire. Task Manager dialog says that it cannot
close the application because it "is waiting for a response" from me. I
have no idea why this is happening - can anyone help? Using Windows 2k
Prof., Office 2003, Fe/Be set up with Be on network - let me know if you
need any more info from me.

Well, perhaps you can use a model form.

If you use msgbox (a dialog), or you own dialog box..then that form is the
ONLY thing that can get the focus.

This is exactly what dialog forms mean.

No menus bars, no other forms, or nothing can get the focus.

So, one has to ask, do you need a dialog form...or not? They are very nasty
those dialog forms...and no menus, or anything else can function when you
use, make sure you have VERY good reason to use one....(other
wise..use a model form).

You can read some more differences on dialog forms vs model forms here:
