AutoLookUp wont save field

P: n/a
Tom
I need some help please!
I've created a query to use the AutoLookUp feature, this almost works
fine and well. I have a form to add a new record. On this form the
autolookup feature works, as I select the company, the contact name is
automatically filled in. But on completing the record all details are
saved except from the autolookup entry (contact name) it isnt saved to
the table.
Can anyone help me please?

What is the AutoLookUp feature? It sounds like you mean a ComboBox:
Type letters in the Text portion of a ComboBox and any equal items in
the "drop-down" list will automatically appear in the Text portion of
the ComboBox.

If you are referring to a ComboBox then you probably haven't bound the
control to the form's RecordSource. Therefore, set the ComboBox's
..ControlSource property to the name of the column (field) in the
RecordSource where you want the selected item to be stored.
