Open MSAccess 2003 with MSAccess 2000

I recieve unrecognized database format when trying to open a MSAccess
2003 database with MSAccess 2000. I only need it to open as
read-only.

Why won't it open my database?

Usually because the database was saved in Access 2002/2003 format and
not in 2000 format.

You can open a New database and link to the tables
in the 2003 database.

If you have Access 2003, you can open the database and
save it in Access 2000 format. And Access 2003 can be
set to use Access 2000 format instead of Access 2003
format.
