My guess is that you are missing an After Update event for the search box.
If you show the Form HEader (under VIEW), then use the wizard to build a
combo box, one of the options will be...
Find a record based on the user selection....or something like that...
use the wizard then take a look at the code...
The nice thing too about using a combo box is that you will only have choice
of existing names..therefore never an empty search..
I would then have a button on the subform to DELETE THIS RECORD....with the
obligatory ARE YOU SURE message.

I have a main form based on a member list, so that I can add details.
I also have a query which takes its parameters from a textbox on the

I want the result of the query to display in a subform before I delete
