Access 2000 connect to Outlook Inbox

P: n/a
Hi Everybody

I am looking for a way to connect and disconnect to the Ms Outlook
Inbox programmatically from a command button on a form .

At the moment it is easy enough to do by going to the database
container and doing the following:

1. select file
2. select Get external data
3. select Link tables
4. Go to the bottom of the dialog box that opens and select Files of
Type = Outlook
5. Select the Inbox. Bingo! It's done.

The problem is my users are on a runtime version which makes this
impossible.

Does anyone know of a way to do all that (cutting out as many of the
intermediate steps as possible) with the click of a button. And then
with the click of another button disconnect the Inbox when it is no
longer needed.

Regards Smilley Bob
