Database gone amok

A couple of days ago planes were grounded for about two hours because
of a database problem in a database created by EDS. The problem
looked like it may have been related to triggers or a cascading
operation. Does anyone have any more information on what happened?

Thanks,
JAF

comp.risks newsgroups frequently has some info on these kinds of things. Sometimes
with details and sometimes not.
