Program won't run from CD

Hi;

I ran into a (of course :-) weird problem:

have a simple MS-Access program that runs perfectly from hard drive, but
when the program and corresponding
database are copied onto CD, I get "Not a valid password" error. With
password unset, everything works
fine. Do you have any idea what could cause this?

Thanks in advance,
Alex.

Does having a password mean it tries to create an LDB locking file?
(open the db on the HD and while it's open see if an LDB file is
created) ???

Are you opeining it in Exclusive mode?

By definition, CDs are read-only media, but Access requires read-write
permission to operate properly. The error message is misleading, but
that's the root cause. You will need to copy the database from the CD
onto the hard drive.
