To answer your question, I would have to go into my startup and eliminate
MDM, then open Access or Excel, then CTL + ALT + DEL to open the Task List
and look for it. But, you can do the same thing. On the other hand, it is
possible that MDM might be initiated only when errors occur, not when Access
or Excel is opened. For that answer, you need to ask the question in a
newsgroup devoted to the Operating System you are using. There are a number
of those at the free news server "news.microsoft.com".

Hi:
I know MDM.EXE (Machine debug manager) is important in debugging scripts,
and that it is installed with MS office. However does it have to be on the startup menu?
That is, does it have to be started when the system is started, or does it also
automatically start when any of the Access development applications starts.
I would like to disable it on the startup (where it sits for some reason)
but do not want to loose the capability when developing scrips for Access or Excel. Can
someone tell me about this please?
Thanks
