Request_Type should be a combobox or listbox. Construct the rowsource to include
what you want in Base_Charge. Let's say you put Base_Charge in the third column
of Request_Type's rowsource. Put the following code in the AfterUpdate event of
Request_Type:
Me!Base_Charge = Me!Request_Type.Column(2)
It's Column(2) and not Column(3) because the column property is 0 based.
Note: You will have to set the column count property of Request_Type to 3 to
make this work.

I imported several .dbf's from another application to use as the basis for
my form. In addition to displaying the records that were created with the
original application my users will be adding new records. I have one
field - "Request_Type" - which determines what appears in field
"Base_Charge". This field is already populated for the existing records.
How can I set this up to automatically populate "Base_Charge" for new
records?
Thanks,
Ange
