I don't know about analising, but you can play a wav file using the code
below...
Declare Function apisndPlaySound Lib "winmm" Alias "sndPlaySoundA" (ByVal
filename As String, ByVal snd_async As Long) As Long
Function playSound(strPath As String)
If apisndPlaySound(sWavFile, 1) = 0 Then msgbox "Sound did not play"
End Function
I dont think you could store them in you're database either, you are
probably better off storing links to the wav files even if you could
anyway....you're database would be way too huge....
There may be some dlls around that can do that though...dunno

Hello,
I'm developing a database for a cardiolog, and I would like to insert the
wave files which I obtain by auscultation with an digital stethoscope, but
I would also have the possibility to hear and visualize (the sound graphic)
the wave files. Is there any possibility to do this with MS Access 2000?
I know that for example Matlab visualize the sound graphic and has many
procedure to analyze the graphic but is there any possibility also with
Access to implement some of this analylize procedures?
Greetings Bernd
