Disappearing Table Fields

Hi,

I created a 'Quantity' field in a table named tblBidLabor ...started
noticing poor performance on queries based on this table. All
references to this field had been replaced with 'Expr1' in the
queries. When I look at the table in design view the Quantity field is
not visible, nor can I see it in any queries based on this table. I
can only see the Quantity field when I look at in Relationships.

I can't add a Quantity field back to the table because Access says it
already exists. This is also happening to another table named
tblLaborTask in a field named Hours where I am trying to store an RS
means value.

What really wigs me out is the forms and reports still work (very
slowly).
