Help with Query to Return Different Records

Hi everybody-

For some reason, I cannot get this query to work. I have 2 identical
tables. One table is new, the other is old.

I want to be able to tell which records in the newer table are
different than the ones in the older table.

The primary keys of both tables are social security numbers with a
data type of text.

Here's what I've tried:

I added both tables to a query.
I created a relationship between the primary keys: SSN1 for the old
table and SSN2 for the new table.
I added all of the fields from the new table.
In the criteria for my primary key field, I entered "<>
[oldtable].[SSN1]" without the quotes.

I don't get any results.

I'm trying to display the records that are in the new table but not
the old table, but I've run into a bump. Maybe I'm just tired and
don't see what I'm doing wrong! :-)

Any advice is truly appreciated.

Hi Megan,
Create a new query, choose the "Find Unmatched Query Wizard" and follow the
instructions.
