Open Form Problem

I have buttons to open forms all over the place and they all work. Now I'm
trying to open the form at the end of a subroutine in another form but it
just stops there. Here's the code:

DoCmd.OpenForm "frmEnterGrades"

Nothing fancy. Is there something I could be missing? Maybe a property in
one of the two forms involved? The form exists and I spelled it correctly.

The command was followed by a Close command. I'm wondering if it closed the
form I wanted to open. I wanted to close the form I was already in instead.

Try this:

If you want to close the form with the button, try this:

DoCmd.OpenForm "frmEnterGrades"
DoCmd.Close acForm, Me.Name
To close a different form the easiest way is to insert the name of the
form. Try:

DoCmd.OpenForm "frmEnterGrades"
DoCmd.Close acForm, "frmMyForm"

Substituting the actual name of the form you want to close for
"frmMyForm", using quotes as you did to open the form.
