Import Text Wizard Problem

Access 2002. I am trying to import a fixed width text file. When I
get to the field options window, the "Field Name:" control says Field1
and Field1 is highlighted in the bottom of the window. When I
highlight Field2 in the bottom of the window, the "Field Name:"
control still says Field1. It doesn't change to Field2. It doesn't
matter what field I highlight in the bottom, the "Field Name:" control
still says Field1.

This problem is unique to my computer. Other computers in my office
automatically change to the correct field when the user selects a
different field in the bottom of the window. I am fairly certain this
is a new problem for my PC because I have imported similar files in
the past (but not recently).

Is there a fix to this problem? Thanks for your help!

I had this same problem. I was in a hurry and didn't have time to bang
my head against it, so I just went ahead with the import and renamed the
fields in the imported table afterwards.

This will be a real pain if you have to change the datatypes too, but
fortunately my import file only had 6 fields.
