Division in Access does not match Excel.

I am using Excel 97 and Access 97.
I have two memory variables that are doubles in Access. I did the
following math in Access.

$28,721,211.86 / $4,263,630,151.41
In Access the answer is 6.73632816170246E-03

But in Excel the same math above gives me this as an answer
0.006736328
How come Access does not match the number in Excel ?

This is the same number, the Access one has more signifcant digits
shown. It is likely that if you put your Excel "position" into the cell
in question that it will expand to show more significant digits.

It's the same number.
The number in Excel is formatted as Scientific format, the number in
Access is General number.
The E-3 means move the decimal 3 places left, so 6.73E-3 becomes
..00673.

The numbers do match, it's just that Excel formats the value
automatically. Access doesn't guess what formatting the developer
will want, so displays the number to the highest precision.
You can use the format() function to specify exactly how you want
the number to appear.
