Unknown function Date()

Rear reader,

By running my application on an other machine a received the message
"Unknown function date". It has to do with the function Date() and Now() in
a query.

After disable the DAO reference library in VBA and enable it afterwards the
problem is solved. But it seams me weird that this is the solution. There
must be a better one.

Thanks for any help.

References are like apples -- one bad one can spoil the whole barrel.

That is to say, the reference that fails may not be the one marked as
"missing" in the reference list, because any that are missing can affect any
other reference.

If the DAO reference that you disabled and re-enabled was not marked with
any kind of error, and no others were, then I do not understand why it fixed
the problem, either.
