Problems making new records through the form wizard

uv
Hi!
I'm having problems writing new records into the dtatabase as well as deleting.
I have tried doing so by adding the control buttons to a form.
Unfortunately I'm only succesful in creating the first record and nothing more.
Any guidance or help will be highly appreciated.

Look at the navigation buttons. If the new record button (one with asterisk) is
grayed out, either the basis of your form is not updateable or go to the form's
properties and look under the Data tab to see if the Allow Additions property is
set to No.

Hi!
Thank you for your reply.
The control button is not grayed out and the Data Allow property is set
on yes.
So that leaves us with the database not being updatable possibility.
The thing is, though, that I can create 1 record and submit it into the
database.
And why could the database not be updatable?
Thank you for your help,
uv

From what you describe, your database seems to be updateable. If it was not
updateable, you wouldn't even be able to add the first record. The far right
navigation button (new record) would be grayed out. Suggest you do the
following:
1. Verify that when you try and add the first record that it actually becomes
recorded in the table
2. Determine what happens when you add the first record, close the form, reopen
the form and try and add another record
3. Go to the table. Is there a new record row?
4. Try adding more than one record directly into the table
5. Describe in detail what happens when you try to add a second record to the
form
