Combo box list question

Ian
Hi everyone,

I am creating a database in Access 97. I have created a combobox which
has displays a list of options generated by query. Data entry in the
combo box is limited only to the list contents, but I would also like
the option for the user to select the generic case 'Other'. Instead of
creating an 'Other' entry in the original source table for every
possible permutation, is there a way I can keep the limit to list and
add in this extra case?

Thanks in advance,

Ian

Create a UNION query that combines the query that already populates the
combobox with a simple SELECT query that returns one row containing Other.

See http://www.mvps.org/access/forms/frm0043.htm at "The Access Web" for an
example.
