How do I do this?

I have to open a MS Access 2000 DB that I did not create, it was created in
a VB program and my C++ program must open it, and capture data from at least
one of its tables maybe more. Each time my C++ program is run it may need to
open a different version of the Access DB, I mean the DB may be a different
file none of the DBs have a name. The users of my C++ program will not have
the know how to create a ODBC connection for each version of the DB so my
problem is how do I open the Access DB capture the data and then close the
Access DB?

Is there a method of giving a Access DB a name after it is created?

Is there a method to open it and capture all data from a table?

If anyone knows where I can go to learn how to do this I would be grateful.

If you're using ADO then there's a connection string you can use, it's
not exactly user friendly but it will contain the database file name,
the nature of the connection string's complexity often leads people to
use a DSN instead.

Much easier to use DAO to access the database, then you just specify
the file name in the OpenDatabase method.
