Loading from web

I need to load Word documents from the web into OLE Object fields in
an MS Access database.

My DB table has two fields: A Text field which already holds the URL
of the Word document and an OLE Object field into which I want to load
that document.

I need to write a SQL Update query (or ADO code) to step through the
table and load all the documents. The code will need to handle
obvious errors (invalid or missing URL in the text field and/or
document not found errors from the web server).

Can anyone put me on the right track for how to do this?

Sorry to comment on own post but forgot to say I am using Access 2002 and
backward compatibility to earlier versions isn't an issue.
