Access Data to Outlook

P: n/a
Hi All,
I have a table on the database that stores the details of a mailing
list such as name, company, address, email and so on. Is it possible
to update (or link) all the mailing list table fields into Microsoft
Outlook contacts? If yes, any ideas how?

Thanks

John

Hi John
Here is how we do it into GroupWise. It might be similar.
Galina

oFile = FreeFile
Open oFilePath For Output As #oFile
Print #oFile, ":::TAGMAP:::0FFE0003:***,3001001E:Name,3A18001E:D epartment,3003001E:E-Mail
Address,3A06001E:First Name,3A11001E:Last Name,3A17001E:Title"

With rs
.MoveFirst
Do While Not .EOF
oString = """" & !Field1 & """" & ","
oString = oString & """" & !Field2 & """" & ","
oString = oString & """" & !Field3 & """" & ","
oString = oString & """" & !Field4 & """" & ","
oString = oString & """" & !Field5 & """" & ","
oString = oString & """" & !Field6 & """" & ","
oString = oString & """" & !Field7 & """"
Print #oFile, oString
.MoveNext
Loop
End With

Close #oFile
'CreateShortcut (ofilepath)
cmdStr = "C:\NOVELL\GROUPWISE\ADDRBOOK.EXE /bl /imp-" & oFilePath
X = Shell(cmdStr, vbNormalFocus)
