Creat an MDE file?

I have Office Xp Professional loaded. In Access the Make MDE file
option on the menu is greyed out. Is it possible to create an MDE file
without the developer version? Why is the option on the menu if I
can't use it?

Convert the file to Access 2002 format.
Compile your code.

You should then be able to create an MDE.

Allen,
A side question for you:

In your post it is listed as
"From: Allen Browne (Al*********@SeeSig.Invalid)"

Here in Google newsgroup, I would like to set up my acct that has a
"nospam" address like what you have here. I currently have an account
set up using a real yahoo address.
When I tried to create a Google acct with a "rl*@nospamyahoo.com"
Google comes back and says that I have to go click the link in the
email to activate the acct. Well, since this address is bogus (to
prevent spam) I cannot go and verify the link with the email it sent
since the address (and domain) do not exist in my bogus address.

This leads me to my question:
How do I have my google entries display my name along with a false
address to prevent spam, instead of my real address?
I could not find anything in "change preferences" that would change
what is displayed.

Any suggestions?

Thank you,

RLN

Allen uses Outlook Express to post to the newsgroups, so probably doesn't
know the answer.

You'll probably be better off seeing whether Google offers any help.

I think Google has strict rules that you must post from the e-mail address
you used to recieve the posting account information -- in order to restrict
use of Google as a base for spammers and trolls. In fact, they will cancel
an account if that original e-mail account has been cancelled.

Some trolls have been kept busy establishing new, free e-mails to get new
Google accounts when their trolling activities caused the freebie e-mail to
be cancelled and that caused the Google account to be cancelled. Establish a
freebie e-mail somewhere that you'll never check again and use that for your
Google posting -- it'll work if you don't do something to get the e-mail
cancelled and have complaints.

Hi,
Sorry to butt in, but I also use Outlook Express for newsgroups - in Tools,
Accounts - pick your news server - Properties you can set the reply-to
address to something like ja********@nomailhere.net which masks your real
email address.
HTH,
John
