Phil,
I do something similar to this to record student attendance.
I started with an "Attendance Calendar" that I downloaded from http://
www.mvps.org/access/resources/downloads.htm .
It color-codes dates of attendance on a monthly calendar form. If the
student is present, the date is green and attendance code in table is
"1", attendance code 2 is red, code 3 is black. In this form, if there
is not already a record for a given date, you click on the date once
and it turns it green and adds a record with attendance code 1 to the
attendance table, click on it twice and it turns it red and adds a
record with code 2, etc. I had to add more codes and colors, so I put
a key on the bottom of the from showing what each color stood for, and
a tally of how many of that code there were in the month. By default
it pulls up the current month's calendar, and you can page up and down
through the months. It is a wonderful way to visually see what's going
on in a month.
The tricky thing for you will be the dates with the multiple events.

I have a table of events -
EventID Auto
EventDate Date
EventType Integer ' Social, Sport, Meeting etc
EventDetail Text
I am looking for a calendar routine that will scan this table and colour
those dates that are relevant according to the EventType. Special colour for
more than 1 event on a single date
There will be a main form showing Dates and a subform for the various events
Also click on the calendar to open the form either in the selected date or,
if nothing on that date at a new record
Any ideas
Thanks
Phil
