delete a record in a subform?

P: n/a
hiya!

I wanted to make a multiple selection drop down list and I found the
easiest way to do this was by creating a subform linked to a table
with 2 values, the 1st value links to the main form and the 2nd value
stores the results. The drop down list does a select function and you
can therefore select the value from it and a new drop down box
immediately appears below it and you can choose more values. But, I
find it's not perfect. What if I want to clear a selection? The
record is already stored in the subform's table now. Or, what if I
want the selection to not select repeated values?

question reworded:
main form has a field called ID1
sub form has 2 fields ID1 (linked to main form and type)
When I'm in the form view, I select the "type" field which is a
subform with a drop down list and I can select multiple options as a
new drop down list appears after every selection. How do not allow
multiple selections to occur in this subform and how do I allow the
user to delete a record in the subform after it's selected by
accident?
Hopefully Im explaining what's going on clearly. Thanks.
