Help with sharing a database! Error 2501

Someone had previously created an access 2000 database (tables and
forms together in a single .mdb file). The .mdb file was located on a
server, and two users (on two separate computers) share this database.
It was working fine until last week, when one of the users told me
they can no longer share the database...when they use the save button
(DoCmd.save), they get the error "2501 The save action was
cancelled". This only occurs if the other user is also in the
database. Any ideas?
