runtime chinese language support

P: n/a
Dear All,

I would like to use MOD 2000 English version to pack a mdb file which I made
under Chinese Access 2000.The key problem is to change the English runtime
to the Chinese one. I was told that there is a "Access runtime language
Patch v 1.0 Designed by Pseudo" which includes three files: patchr.bat,
patchr.dat and patchx.exe. I tried my best but I failed to find them. Any
help will be very much appreciated.

Did you try searching at groups.google.com?

None, you could try searching at some of the search engine aggregators such as
DogPile or possibly AskJeeves.

I understand your objective but I'm not sure what the problem is. Is a Chinese
version of the MOD unavailable?

Yes, there is a Chinese Office xp developer (that should solve my problem,
but it is more hardware demanding, i.e. the older computers may have
difficulty to run Access xp), however, it is pricy and perhaps difficult to
get in Europe.

It is difficult too to understand why MS charge for MOD. It should be given
to the program developer for free or for symbolic money.

thanks,

Paul

Ah, gotcha. There is no Chinese Office 2000 Developer. I didn't realize that.

The other side of that argument though is that you are depriving MS of the license
revenues from all those copies of MS Access runtime you are handing out for free.
