Size Limits for latest versions

Hi,

Sorry if this a repetitive question. I looked for an FAQ and
didn't find one and Microsoft's website, as usual, is coy about
product limitations.

I've read that earlier versions of Access had a 2GB databse
size limit and need to know if this has changed in AccessXP
or Access2003? I don't think it has but promised the boss
I double-check.

TIA for your help,

Gerry Murphy

No.
If you need more, look at SQL Server or its light cousin MSDE which
ships with Access.

MSDE also has the same 2Gb size limit.

True. But at least it can be used while the db is in development
and/or filled with data. Once you get close to the 2GB mark, indeed
upgrading to the Standard Edition is the only option. Your app will
likely work unchanged.
