Iif & Checkbox

P: n/a
I had this figured out a few days ago, then Access shut down and I
lost everything & can't remember how I did it.

I have a check box (ConsultationSkillsWorkshopFee) with an unbound
field (ConsultationSkillsWorkshopFeeCharge) next to it. If the box is
checked I want a default amount of $80 entered into the unbound field,
which I can change if the person is receiving a discount. Otherwise,
if the box is not checked I want the amount to be $0. Can some tell me
how I should be doing this, I'm at wits end. I keep thinking I should
have the Default value be:
Iif(ConsultationSkillsWorkshopFee)=True,"80","0" - but when I put this
in nothing happens... what's going on?

Thanks!

you need to update the ConsultationSkillsWorkshopFeeCharge on the even
afterupdate ConsultationSkillsWorkshopFee
click on the afterupdate event in the property box for the
ConsultationSkillsWorkshopFee and enter the following code
----------
if ConsultationSkillsWorkshopFee = true then
me.ConsultationSkillsWorkshopFeeCharge = 800
else
me.ConsultationSkillsWorkshopFeeCharge = 0
end if
-----------
