Linking to MS Word

Hi,

What's the simplest way to link database records to a word document? The
requirements are very simple, we need a way of creating one-off letters with
address/contact information filled in.

I could do a mail-merge but isn't that really for batches of letters? How
about a report that automatically opens from within word for editing?

I appreciate any ideas you may have!

Cheers,
Chris

A batch can have a size of 1. It's still the preferred way.

If you REALLY want to do things the hard way, you can use Automation
from Access to open a Word doc, find certain placeholders, and replace
them with your data. Just like Word's own MailMerge would do.

That's exactly what I've just done - of course using somebody else's code
:oP
Works from the database to word, rather than the other way round so seems
easier for the end user.
