Access and email

I've been using docmd.sendobject to send e-mail using an Access 2K
front end for a customer running 250 workstations.

The client now has combinations of Access2K, AccessXP, Access 2003
running with Outlook 2K and Outlook 2003. E-amiling with
docmd.sendobject is now getting very unreliable, with the user
apparently sending but nothing happening.

I am looking for the best alternative to sending e-mail through
Access, hopefully accomplishing it all in code. Is CDO a recommended
method or am I missing something?

Help is greatly appreciated.

Just about any method but docmd.sendobject is reasonably reliable and will give you
back meaningful error messages.
