Take a hike, "Jerry Linson" - you're nothin but a useless troll!

I don't know about the rest of the posters, but I came to this NG to learn
more about Access, not to have some idiot homophobic dipshit spewing hate
with every post. You have nothing to add to this group that is remotely
on-topic, so unless you're gonna learn Access do us a favor and get lost.

Do you know how many Access MVP's post here? Do you know how much of their
valuable time is spent helping people?

I've had a number of MVP's help me with programming problems and it's been
HUGELY beneficial! Not to mention that it's comforting knowing that a real
expert and not some two-bit hack has given you something you can actually
use. Do you understand that? Of course not, you've never helped anyone
here and have no idea what it means to work under deadlines and to have
valuable knowledge shared with you.

All you can do is make a bunch of trolling, hate filled posts with stuff
that you think is funny like selling rubber suits, well it ain't funny. So
why don't you start your own newsgroup? How about alt.homophobes? What
will be your idea of an MVP in that newsgroup, someone who is more hate
filled than you?

Of course, many of us share your sentiment. Unfortunately, by posting this at
the root, you're doing exactly what trolls want. They are trying to generate
as much traffic about them and their inflammatory posts as possible, and
dilute the useful posts about the topic at hand as much as possible.

In general, if we complain about trolls in new threads at the root, we end up
helping do the trolls' work for them.

And even worse is complaining by responding to an existing thread - because
the original message will be deleted, but the response lives on.

I started my 'serious' learning in this Google forum (actually through
Deja.com). I learnt a huge amount, which set me off on learning other
languages and apps which which I have been working for several years.
It got to the stage where this forum was full of idiots (but still a
lot of people trying to help and needing help). I came back today
after a few months away and it's still the same. That was the last
chance, so I'll take my knowledge with me and shall contribute no more
to this forum. I've given it every chance and will find some other way
of giving something useful back to the community.

Certain MVP's/users have been invaluable over the years. Specifically
those who contribute to www.mvps.org/access. It has been a massive
help and I can't thank them enough !

Hate? Get real, dude. As for topicality, well, discussions about whether
one of the permanent fixtures of CDMA gets his cock sucked by a boy is
on topic.
No it is not. Neither is your sex life, though with your charming
personality yours is a "solitary" affair.
You are one who would apparently not mind hiring an Access
hack who posts stories
Posts stories where? Not here and that is the point. It is off-topic here.
You posting it is off-topic here. You are acting in our best interest, huh?
Your crap about selling rubber suits is gonna make this a better place to
learn about Access?
More power to you, dude, but the old homophobe saw is a
tad dull now aint it.
No, it is sharp as ever. What is dull are your posts. You repeat the same
thing day after day. Why? Do you think you've missed someone? Can't you
accept that NOBODY here wants to read your crap?

Do you know how many Access MVP's post here? Do you know how much of their valuable time is spent helping people?

And the point is what?

That this is a great place to learn about Access from experts, not a place
for ignorant fools like you to spew venom.
I've had a number of MVP's help me with programming problems and it's been HUGELY beneficial! Not to mention that it's comforting knowing that a real expert and not some two-bit hack has given you something you can actually use. Do you understand that?

Sure, dude, this poster understands that. Say, are you feeling okay?

No, a homophobic moron keeps posting garbage to a decent newsgroup.
All you can do is make a bunch of trolling, hate filled posts with stuff that you think is funny like selling rubber suits, well it ain't funny. So why don't you start your own newsgroup? How about alt.homophobes? What

You're obviously confusing this poster with some other poster.

Because you use a different moniker? No, it's you all right. And it's not
funny.

Hey, Tony, if he can't understand what is on-topic in a newsgroup whose
charter is published in its FAQ, how can you expect him to be able to spell?
Nov 12 '05 #8

Steven-- That was not Jerry Linson or Larry Linson selling those rubber
suits. The guy's name was Marty Linson. It's probably my fault for the
confusion. Search Google and you will see.

And, how would you suggest anyone go about "getting rid of this guy"? This
is an unmoderated newsgroup, and unmoderated newsgroups are somewhat
anarchistic, by design.
