Need help with text file in access

Hi.

How can I save multiple reports to ONE text file? I've used the
OutputTo function, but the result is one text file for each report.
I'm not a MS Access programmer and I don't know if I can do this...
copy the content of each text file in append to the one I want, is
another possible solution? How can I do this?

Thanks,

Alessandro

If you make all of your reports into subreports of a larger report, you can
export it to a single file.

From the DOS command line I created 2 text files.
Test1.Txt
This is test1
Test2.Txt
This is test2

Then I entered Copy Test1.Txt + Test2.Txt TestAll.Txt

The results of TestAll.Txt is
This is test1
This is test2

In order to concatenate the 2 files....or many files...within Access
some commands to review in on-line help are Dir(), FileCopy, and Kill.

If you want, you can also look at Open, Close, Read, Write, Get, Put,
FreeFile. The example code may have something close enough to get you
started if you decide to roll-your-own code.

It's not too difficult. If you aren't a programmer it may be difficult.

It's a good idea... but I don't know if I can modify this. This is a
modify to a functioning software. I ask for that.

Thanks

This is similar to the solution I actually use. I've created a .bat
file to make this copy at the end of the .txt creation... I'll give a
look to the command you suggest to me.

Thanks
