JET

Hi there,

Could anyone tell me the best way to identify the current version of the jet
engine on my installation of Access 2000? The reason for me asking about
this is because I want to connect an HTML front end to a back end database,
using ADO. Sometimes, I may want to use a jet engine, at other times, I may
want to use MSDE. Is there quick way of doing this?

Thanks in advance,

Adonis.

If you are going to be using com ADO for OleDB just make sure you have
mdac2.5 and mdac2.6 loaded on the respective machine. Then reference
Jet4.0 in your Connection string. I believe that Windows XP comes with
mdac2.5 and mdac2.6 as standard.
