Switchboard/Startup/Tool Bar problem

I have been working with Access 2000 and decided to get the Switchboard to
come up at startup. So I went to Tools/Startup and began messing around and
got messed up.

In Access 97 when theSwitchboardcame up at startup, I could access the
database from the tab in the lower left of the screen. This did not happen
in 2000 so I uncommented the four tool bar boxes at the bottom of the
startup box to see what would happen (dumb :-( ). Now all of the toolbars
are gone, of course, and for the life of me I can't figure out how to get
them back. Comes from working late at night...

Help would be appreciated.

Bill.

Bill,

Close the database. Hold the Shift Key down and restart your database. You will
be able to now go to Tools - Startup and reset the options.

If you hold down the shift key while opening the database, it should come
up with at least the main menu on it.

Or you could import all objects into a new blank database.

Thank you Ross. Hope the former works rather than the latter.

Hi Stephen,

That is wonderful news.

The Access project I am working on is a retirement project for a small
company. So help that I have had from yourself and others on this list,
over time has been a wonderful resource.

Best wishes,

Bill.
