Upgraded to Office 2K - SP3, now Access wants Password!

Greetings,

Hope someone can HELP! I was running Access 2K - SP1 and on a whim
went to the MS Office update site and upgraded Office2K to everything
current, SP3 and whatever else it recommended.

When I went to a mdb to open it up - BLAM - it had my Network Username
prefilled in the 'Name' field (which doesn't really mean much since I
use that same userid for everything so it might have been read from
somewhere else unrelated to our network) and prompting me for a
password.

I have over 300 mdbs on my computer and have only ever set one up as a
MDE requiring a password.

After the upgrade, NONE of the mdbs will open without a password -
which I don't have as I never set these up with pwds to begin with! I
tried all of the pwds that I could think I may have ever used and of
course no luck.

Any ideas (1) what happened??; and more importantly (2) HOW do I get
back into my dbs????

Thanks for any help,
Steve Lord
