Old Programmer

I am screwed and need some help. OUr last VBA programmer put a
password on the code in our Access2000 project, so that we cannot get
in . Is there a way to bypass this.

Unless he is dead, can't you call him up and ask him?

If the programmer worked for the company while developing the application. Some
states consider the developed product, company property and the company could
take legal measures to protect their interest. Check with your State Attorney
General's Office if the programmer refuses to give up the password. Just a
suggestion!

LOL!

Aren't there "tools" available that will crack a database password?
Presumably something similar exists to crack VBA protection?

A "bitter divorce" still doesn't preclude that fool from giving you
the password. You just tell him that big legal trouble is headed his
way, if the needed password is not given.
I had a contractor who thought he was going to be "clever", but to his
dismay, he was stuck with the legal fees, which was over 50k, and he
had to give up the password.
Now, any contractor or employee who places any kind of unauthorized
"protection" on their work, is out the door.

I had one like that too. The legal fees were more than 7 trillion dollars!

Uh Huh!
