Tool Tips disappear

Win XP. A97.

Anyone know why my tool tips don't display when the mouse is held over
the field? If I reboot the computer the tool tips will display. A
couple of days will pass and I'll check the tooltips and they are gone
so I reboot. Is this an XP problem?

I sure hope someone has an answer for this. I don't think it is unique to
XP, however, I have some users running A2K on Win2K complaining of the same
problem.

It must be an XP problem, and it bothers me when I am pointing at taskbar icons and the descriptions don't show. If I click on the button that shows hidden icons, it restores the tooltips temporarily.
